Euro 2012 Online Betting Odds

8th February, 2010

As a result of England having such a good draw for the Euro 2010 championships, many online sportsbooks are making England odds on favourite to win Group G. Irish bookmaker Paddy Power make England 2/5 favourite in the group with Switzerland at 9/2, Bulgaria at 11/2, Wales at 16/1 and Montenegro at 40/1.

It is a little disappointing that Wales were drawn in the same group as England however there’s little doubt that the draw helps England to make good progress in the tournament with bookies making the side 7/1 second favourite to win outright.

It seems that Scotland has a potentially challenging draw in Group I, as the team faces Spain (offered at 1/5 to win the group) and the Czech Republic (9/2). The Scottish team is the 9/1 third favourite to win Group I, with Lithuania at 80/1 and Liechtenstein the 750/1 outsider.

Ireland is in a slightly position in Group B, and is priced as the 3/1 second favourite to win its group, with Russia the clear favourite at 8/13. Other teams in contention here are Slovakia at 4/1, FYR Macedonia at 16/1, Armenia at 66/1 and Andorra at 500/1.

Germany is priced at 1/3 to win Group A, Italy is the favourite to win Group C at 4/11, France is the 2/5 favourite in Group D, Holland is the 2/5 favourite in Group E, Croatia is 4/5 in Group F and Portugal is offered at 4/6 in Group H.

Northern Ireland is available at 20/1 in Group C, but will need to perform exceptionally well against Italy, Serbia, Slovenia, Estonia and the Faroe Islands if they are to qualify.

For the outright Euro 2012 winner, Paddy Power has Spain installed at the market favourites at 4/1. Germany and Italy are both priced at 15/2, Holland is at 10/1 and France at 12/1.
